No more basketball, a sport that had shaped her life since childhood.But Francis was wrong about quitting being the hardest part.

Her journey was just beginning, something that would force her to deal with her toughest opponent - her soul."I know it sounds horrible, but I lost myself in this business, I became something I never wanted to be," Francis, 40, said.

Winning and being successful was so my identity."I was afraid I was a failure in other people's eyes."Pressure is offAfter three years of intensive professional therapy, prayer, and coming to terms with her own fears, Francis is again whole.The digestive problems are gone, and Francis has taken a bold step - she's back to coaching OU's women's team."Now my perspective and mindset has changed, and that takes a lot of the pressure off of me," Francis said.

"I had to change.

I am more secure in myself.

And that is probably the biggest thing.

I am more confident, if I lose or have to deal with some questions or pressure, I won't question myself or destroy myself in the process."Francis has now gone through a half-season, and is still healthy.
